Release id #90191 : EasyFlash Multicart 1982-1985

I truely wonder wether such collections belong here. It might be a tremendous PLUS that you don't have to load the game anymore, but all of the rest lacks (even though it has "Archon" in - hehe).

Whenever these games are not cracked - they dont belong here - whenever they are - they have to get credits. Each one of them. Is this a scene release at all?

I don't think so - though I don't know the tool used to create this I just see it as a copy program and the upload as an undescribed image of something.

Edit: check http://noname.c64.org/csdb/help.php?section=rules for the definition on "release"

I guess we need to start cracking down on all entries now, will someone please delete all the Protovision entries - they don't have download links. Clearly breaking rule 8.3.1

Etc.

Moloch: Fine with me.

Antabaka: lol? Deleting the entries, keeping the files and linking from an external forum to here to abuse csdb as filehoster - you should get banned or otherwise punished.

The only reason I put the collections up here was to give non-german people a chance to grab them as well and enjoy it.

But if these entries are against the csdb rules, then just get someone to *really* delete them already. I 'deleted' them right after your post and imagine my surprise that 'deleted' entries are actually kept in the database and are still accessible.

EDIT: For what it's worth - none of the download links from the thread you linked is pointing towards the CSDB database anymore. Life goes on, the world still turns.

I see. These rules are just some general guidelines and not something which is really enforced or meant to be observed.

Ah yeah - right after you figured it works out this way you did the same thing again for another file. As if CSDb isn't slow enough already - wonder if Perff is amused by about 400 MB traffic due to "deleted" files.

...and cc85/twr: you will be dealt with properly - don't worry.

Yes, because at that time I (mistakenly) thought that it would be possible to 'undelete' entries if the discussion here would result in an agreement that these collections are okay with the CSDB. But just a couple of hours later it became quite clear that
a) no, it's not possible to undelete (at least I couldn't find the function) and
b) that there is no discussion and that noone but you really cares.

So then I removed the links and that should be the end of this. I even went through the hassle of manually deleting all the files here as well, just to make sure that my entries do not clutter your valuable space. I'm sure you will notice faster response times immidiately. I also think the database would be even faster if deleted entries would actually be purged from the database instead of just being turned invisible.

The files had been downloaded 30 to 40 times each during the time they were available. That's the equivalent of roughly 240MB traffic caused. If someone wants me to reimburse CSDB for the bandwith used, let me know how.

Admins and maybe "trusted users" can undelete an entry.

AntaBaka, you are wrong in this case. The rules are observed / will be observed and enforced AND they are ment as guidelines for users.

This is a SCENE related database in particular sense and no filehoster for selfmade game packages which have no scene relation at all.
