jan: you're a bit too grown up to take everything personally, aren't you? besides, you cannot think you're the centre of everything and everyone's thoughts. unless it's a part of your condition :|

Jailbird, Jammer: i know you are right... :D
I was just always very serious.. hard to let go.

Maybe a good 1987 style demo with insane scrollerbullshitting is just what i need..

Is this still a funny demo ?
Gabing Out #2

If so, i max it all out and go further..

Dude, do you realize that you're worried about some chitchatting C64 nerds you've met face to face once or twice at most, and there are high possibilities that you'll never ever meet most of them again in the rest of your lifetime. Not worth the antsy pants, really.

And here's a good advice: just stop logging onto #c-64. It will be fucking refreshing, believe me.
The constant flow of raging nonsense up there is just too unproductive and very very depressing... *sigh*... I usually need at least a year of abstinence period to recover my lost brain cells after spending a little bit of time there...

You are probably right. But for a lot of people (not necessarily you, Jan) internet chat is their outside window to the world.
And if those people were confident enough or did have enough people around with the same interests I am sure they would not have the need for chat-sites.
However, because a lot of other people that probably have other means of socialisation use it to make their statements in less than subtle ways. And because of that it is hard to seperate the coolshit from the bullshit...
So my advise to Jan is: make the choice. either regard everything on IRC as nonsensical crap or, just as most of the americans do, regard everything written down as biblical truth and be bitchy about it...

ps.
Somehow "fake demos" always put a little smile on my face. But that's probably just the good samaritan in me... :))

I thought we wanted to keep CSDb drama and #C-64 drama (or any drama erupted from online places where sceners collide) strictly separated.

You could always join the channel as another username, using webchat/XS4ALL to hide further, and find out there?

But honesty, you'll always get someone talking behind one's back... that's what makes the world go round (unfortunately).

Or do what I did: use a fake name and talk crap about yourself.

Maybe it will hurt more - noticing you're NOT being talked about at all..

I did that once at some odd little channel I frequented.
It turned out to be a very sobering experience after which I never joined the channel again.

Yeah, people talk about others when they're not there.
So what?
