UPDATED Chang Mapper - I have added some features that were left out of the program (they were not implemented earlier because.. well, read the included document to see why) . Please update your program to be able to make completeable maps. :)

Thanks JackAsser, but you don't need to be sorry for me. This was a fun idea even though people didn't participate. :) Creating Chang Mapper was sort of fun, almost as fun creating the actual game. And I meant to create some kind of map editor anyway for myself, so here I have it.

Chang's Adventure itself is pretty much complete. I just need to finish the final boss fight and the ending, then I'll try designing a good map. It should take about 5 days, maybe a bit more if real life things take away a bit of my time. :)

END OF COMPO.
The compo is now over. No entries have been received. Time to create the map myself. Stay tuned for Chang's Adventure! :)

@Jak T Rip

The competition is all about designing the actual *game* map using the editor which Joonas wrote. The winner of the competition will get their map appearing in the actual game, itself, before Joonas releases the final game. :)

looks highly enjoyable! Not sure if I understood the compo, though. Is it about designing a map or a map editor?

Anyway, looking forward to the game!

Here's a little example map for you to take a look at. I created it myself and I was quite lazy as you can see, made just a few rooms... ;) To see them, check the rooms near room 64. Anyway, this is one suggestion about what Chang's island could look like. :)

This program was created for the Chang's Adventure Map Design Compo. Or CAMDC for short. The aim of the compo is to create a 100 screen map for the upcoming C64 game Chang's Adventure, which is nearly completed - just a map design needed. :) Chang Mapper uses some of the code from the game.

The compo begins 7th June, and ends 22nd June. Have fun creating, people!
