Frantic: see below, watch on the real machine and it'll all be fine! ;-)

Looks nice, but (at least judging from the screenshot) the character (perhaps in particular the face) looks way too wide in my eyes.

Great job and my favourite "serious one" of the competition. The only thing I didn't like with this was the way you wrote the number: "II.2" looks silly imo. So many beautiful drawn pictures in this compo...So much time spent on drawing the same picture... Hmmm...

2f: thanks, glad you like what i did to the original pic. Since it's one of your favourites I guess this means that my goal of sticking to the original style as good as possible did work out! ;-)
As for this one: yes, there's a few bugs left, I know, but it was quite some work as it is and some of the bugs are really tricky fixes. Bottom line is that I didn't have any more time until Buenzli ended, and if I hadn't uploaded it then I'd had to do it after getting home and would've missed the deadline for sure...

WEC: Yes, it is in fact stretched in X, well spotted! ;-) I always do this since, as you most certainly know, c64 pixels are not squared at all, more like 1:1,4 aspect ratio... And yea, now that you mention it: I could've made the non-wood parts of the rocket launcher blueish, the original poster certainly has more of a blueish tint to it... And as for the Stallone resemblance: In fact the original poster is also like that, Stallone doesn't look very Stallone-like on that, too... In fact I'd say Steve Wahid's picture actually looks more like him than the movie poster! :-)

Really nice conversion - not enough after-pixelling done on it though. The letters look at bit sloppy and some of the crucial parts of the dithering could really have used some fix-up. If this would have been done by anyone else, I wouldn't have nagged, but now it's done by the Deekay.

On the other hand - you are excused because of the nice treatment of Rambo 2.1.

First impression are good.
It looks very faithful to the original.
The OCEAN logo looks great.

..after some time:
The gun looks like it could use more black and blue.
Rambo’s face could look better, more Stallone like.
I could be wrong, but the image looks a little stretched in the X direction.

At least this time it's not Alex submitting his stuff after deadline. ;-)

I'm pretty sure I will be hated to accept it anyway. Because it looks fkn' cool. Appart from the fact that I do what I want, what should I do guys?

Heh! He-Man with a golden gun :)
He almost looks like one of those plastic toys in miniature against that scary and dangerous background swept over N.Y.
