EasyFlash is worth getting just because of this release (erm... well v1.1). As some might say "killer app"! :)

Stainless: Flashback port (not C-64) :/ with sources can be found @ http://cyxdown.free.fr/reminiscence/

I'd prefer Another World C-64 port if anyone is up to it? Atleast this team couldn't go wrong with it. :)

I'd like Another World much more than Flashback because it's the first part of the "series". There's also GP32 port of it available @ http://www.distant-earth.co.uk/awgp32/

After some digging I found that Another World has been ported (I think the PC DOS version was first or was it Amiga version. Does anyone know?) atleast to Amiga, Atari, PC DOS, Mac, SNES, Megadrive, Genesis, 3DO, GBA, GP32, Symbian, Pocket PC, Windows XP, GP32, Dreamcast and Zodiac.

Hmm... Seems that all the Another World ports are based on "RAW Interpreter code by Gregory Montoir", but the Gregory's homepage has disappeared from web. Luckily I found archived page about RAW @ http://web.archive.org/web/20070124142934/cyxdown.free.fr/raw/

I think it'd be even easier to port Another World than Flashback.

Another World is also available for SNES. Doesn't it have quite similar syntax for assembler as Commodore 64. Atleast SuperCPU seems to use it -> "It is a processor upgrade for the Commodore 64 and Commodore 128 personal computer platforms."

Stainless: Flashback seems to be also ported to SNES... Now go whip your favourite l33t coder. ;)

Thank you for this! Maybe the best game for C64 ever, with amazing playbility, though it crashes sometimes. I never finished this game on my old amiga, because its port is quite boring.
Is there any chance make this game for MMC64 or Retroreplay or Commodore 128?

The inbetween screens looks like the screens of the Apple IIe version, but witout the artifacts. The ingame screens looks like the Original PC version and the animations are are very well made. The music fits to the game like it should be. The only missing thing are hires sprites, too bad. All in all the whole game could have been in hires... I think it's a missed chance to point out a nice feature of the C64. So the game looks rather like a Proffessional version of the Apple version. Other than that its a 10/10. Thank you guys!

Without a doubt one of the best games released on C64.

@enigma: You misunderstood Twoflower. It's not that PoP get's a 1541U version, but rather that the 1541U gets EasyFlash support.
User Comment
Submitted by enigma on 23 October 2011
@Twoflower: Does the 1541U version implementation also allows a 512 kB REU version?

Awesome! Congrats, guys!
I don't know if time cheat is added to the game, but anyway, when the sands of time are running low, just put a few zeros from $306 till $309 to get 60 minutes ;)

@sasq: I suggest you get one of those amazing devices called joypads – the best of both worlds as far as an input device goes.
I switched from joysticks to good quality joypads on the C64 and Amiga 15+ years ago, for those games that don't support keyboard controls (my preferred input method).

Today in norways biggest on-line newspaper www.vg.no there are an article on POP for commodore64!

The article forwards to their gaming section called pressfire and the article can be found here... http://www.pressfire.no/nyheter/3DS/4131/Prince-of-Persia-lanse..

press the "fortsett til pressfire.no" button up right if coming from vg. There are even comments from the original POP creator in there and video from the level 1.... that were cool in my mind!

Congratulations mr.sid and your team, you reached the mainstream news with this!

Good stuff! A 1:1 taking advantage of the power of EasyFlash.

Flashed it to my EF cart today, had some difficulties getting it onto cart. After I split the .CRT with EasySplit and then flashed with EasyProg again all worked fine. Will be showing this on the big screen at Syntax 2011.

Download Link Updated: download link of split .crt file (two d64s) has been added for anyone that has problems flashing to the EF cart. Included in the first d64 is one of the latest builds of EasyProg.

@ Motion: yes, SD = Steve Day
@ Titan: unlikely, as the game data doesn't actually fit into the C64's RAM (the easyflash is used as ROM full of tables and graphics data).
