I just added “merge old handles” code to my C64GFXDb thing and, so, found “Lars”. And this pic. Stunning work, Lars/Mirage! Absolutely love this. I want to see more of these old/new pics to be honest!

Every now and then Lars likes to remind us that the rest of us are just hacks. Call me a masochist but I live for these moments.

Whiners. :D And yes. I do know that Jobs were more of a hustler than a hacker.

"I see the young hacker-Jobs, the true underdog, working his ass off (almost for free) in a garage with Woz solely for their ideas and creativity. And he is happy."

You must be kidding. Jobs couldnt hack shit, he was best at ripping off people, starting with his best friend Woz (who was the true hacker, and ass off worker)

So much have been said already. It reminds me the Apple's esthethics: minimalistic yet so full of good things. Great work!

The pic is even better when I looked at it for a while.

I see the young hacker-Jobs, the true underdog, working his ass off (almost for free) in a garage with Woz solely for their ideas and creativity. And he is happy.

And then the old Jobs, grumpy but successful, becoming what he once fighted, the center of a megalomaniac company with slaves in China working their ass off for him for almost nothing. And he is grumpy.

The underdog became the topdog. A warning to us all - remember your past. :P

But of course that is only my view of it.

Awesome beyond belief! 10/10 of course. However...
I see $d020-colorbugs on new vic-chips in the lower border + I personally would have chosen rounded black corners in the borders for that extra Mac-feeling. :)

Haha WOW!
Had to check twice as well to be sure that this is in fact plain hires (within borders).
Awesome! Cudos for the non-color-clashes-are-hip-in-hires-approach ;-)

Great use of hires and border sprites.
My eye was instantly drawn towards the ear.
It gives the impression the perspective has been altered, flattened to create an abnormality, a deformation.

Sorry, should have explained... The screen is plain hires. The only sprites used are in the upper and lower border.
And yes, his ear looks weird, couldn't be bothered fixing that.
