Don't think that when this hits CSDb, it is actually my "latest work" which isn't, I just pick from my somewhat 200 unreleased pictures a picture, and upload it. And this Witch was made last year. Keep improving, well sure.. But I have maybe heaps pictures which doesn't suit you. The Last Ninja picture from this morning, right now gets a Ninja tune from Richard in it. Oh and Fredrik composed another tune, so my DragonLady soon hits CSDb. Original is the drawing I made, to be found on dA, there you see the full face of this girl, along with a dragon. The c64 Version is just closeup of her eyes/hair/flower and no dragon. Still a good pic. I am also planning Zombie Outbreak, a new 3screener, must finish screen1 and then its out.. Btw. no words about, this Elvira, the cats? In the time of 2008, it was populair I added cats again, and again.. Glad you all like this picture.. Next upload will be worse, or just good enough..

This is indeed one of the really good pictures you made. Well done. Especially the left part of it is rich of detail and makes it very enjoyable. Too bad that you are not interested in making childrens books. With the right writer you could for sure create something special. But in the end you are right, you got to do what you like and stick with it (Of course a detour for testing purposes wont hurt ;) ). Keep on pixelling.
And btw. i find the huge difference between the private and public votes quite interesting, especially when you look which ones are public and which are not.

You thought morely of Elvira Mistress of the Dark, that c64 adventure game? :) Pixeling started early around 6am, currently one picture finished, will also be for the LastNinja Archives, another Last Ninja picture..

Hmh, I really don't like _her_ at all and am also a little disappointed, because the name made me think of another Elvira (.)(.)

However, the colors, arrangement, background with all its details are very well done.

I very like the colors. Thats the way, native C64 gfx should be. Me doeznt like dithering, for that is. But here excellent use of dithering. Go on that way pls.

I do have PM here at CSDb. And yes, I received your Email Jan, but a childrensbook is me too much work. I pixel just pictures, so now and then three-screeners, so now and then for demos. And like Yogibear says, I am not intressted.

JSL you should capitalize on your kiddy style graphic skills. make a cartoon, kids book, story with this kinda pics, and you can sell millions, you really can.

just find the proper book makers that make these kinda things, this is good enough, and you just have to make small stories that fit the pictures. brew something up!

because this is handmade computer drawing. its not CGI, and its still drawing.

drawings are best.
im tired of all the 3d gfx films, its all the same, there are no styles like in c64 artist various technique, its all the same 3d render tech. no style = boring

fuck disney and pixar. they were the best and they blew it all up to shit. :_)

JSL... I agree with PAL. I deal with books of all types for a living, and your last few images have that quality found in many kids books.

You really should put something together.

Great work here BTW.

Several times I asked him to make an audiobook with me but he only wants to do c64 stuff. Yes a shame! He's good!

God damn... i said I would never say it again... but JSL... can you make a childrens cartoon book? You are insane, you have so much art and kids love the art... lets make one with pixel art from you! I vote 10 because you should read what I write and see it from that! I know how to make this image better or in a other way so it is more in the scene way, but that is not important... I want what you make in a book and with a great story... why do you never respond to that? It is beyond me!

Elvira the Witch.. Feedback which Bugjam gave me was to add a chimney, so thats
the only fault right now in the picture. Since the window is in place, I couldn't
remove that. Bugjam said there are also chimney's that bend. Then again the window
should be moved to the right, and the spider got deleted, I left it like this,
no Chimney.. Still I hope you appreciate the picture, another witch from JSL, oh
and this is handpixeled..
