I don't agree, this is the historical Party Entry. CSDB is not the scene, but just a database, where you can find all history of the scene stuff, parties, etc. 90% version took the place at the party and shouldn't be deleted from database. From some human reasons it cannot be uploaded. Understand this.

This entry can be deleted !!!!

ALL COMPO ENTRIES SHOULD BE RELEASED!!! I can not stress this hard enough. Otherwise we'll have situations like these, where 90% finished demos enter compos without being released, and then the authors never bother releasing the final versions because the demos have already competed.

Also, it is only fair to be able to see what the party visitors saw and voted for/against.

I hereby can confirm that Accumulator is the unofficial winner of Primary Star 2005.
This was officially stated by Exile (the main organiser of PS05) last saturday.
Yay! :D

@Wile: All I remember is that it had something to do with aliens and that it was very entertaining design-wise.
Can´t remember anything else though. ;)

anyway the demo is ready, i want to upload it but don't have it. ok 99,5% then. now calculate that :)

Dear Sceners,

Exile wrote on September 26 2005: "This release after 3 years is the preview version 90%...". Let's take this literally. That means that it took them 1096 days to do 90% (2004 was a leap year). This means that it was at the day of comment 1096/0.9-1096 = 122 days left until completion. So September 26 2005 + 122 days = 26 Januari 2006, so guys, no rush ok?

Official Rule Primary Star 2005: "Demo-The demo has to work on a Pal C64 with 1541."
Hope to get a 1541 version soon as I have no 1571 neither able to emulate it!
I have been waiting long for this one, hope to be suprised positively!

_V_, yes, those parts did enter a compo, a very special one: the "getting Ben ticked off by threatening to release his old shit" compo. I won (Ben, I'm still waiting for that usb joystick to come my way).

Submitted by _V_ on 27 September 2005
@TDJ: Did (some of) your preview parts enter any compos and achieved some kind of result? If no, then there's the difference between MA90% and those previews. If yes, those preview parts should be added to be consistent with MA90%'s existence here.

The thing is, I don't know how whether or not this policy of adding competing 'unreleased' releases to the csdb is correct. The fact that MA90% competed and got ranked is the only excuse I see for it being here (plz note that none of the 64ever crew added this prod). I guess it's up to Perff to decide to keep this prod on or off the csdb.

If he decides to keep it on, though, some things will be weird, for example, how will the 'voting' go if the prod is not downloadable? Only allow the registered partygoers from the event as voters? No idea...

_V_, you're absolutely right. Now please excuse me as I'm about to enter all those Focus preview parts I've shown to people during the X & PS parties the last few years ;)
User Comment
Submitted by _V_ on 26 September 2005
Well, it *is* this 90% version which was shown at the party, so I guess it should be mentioned since that was its "accomplishment", or so I think (the 100% version has no such accomplishment). It will depend on Cybernator whether or not he'll officially release the 90% version - whatever happens, it probably won't come out before the 100% version.

Submitted by TDJ on 26 September 2005
@Cyberbrain: I could understand that if there was an actual release but this was just shown on a party, nothing else. Like Oswald says, this could mean we could enter all our non-released stuff into csdb as well, right? I'm not sure that this is a situation you would want to have ..
User Comment
Submitted by CyberBrain on 26 September 2005
Calling it 90% or preview is the solution, and adding a NEW release for the 100% version. (i've taken the liberty to call it 90%)
User Comment
Submitted by TDJ on 26 September 2005
I must agree with Oswald on this, the release date is false as there is no release yet. I understand that Exile likes his PS results complete, but csdb should not be used this way.
User Comment
Submitted by Oswald on 26 September 2005
thats nice, but whats the idea behind putting up an UNRELEASED "entry" ? its annoying to see that there's _NO_ download link. heh I could put up this way my 17 unreleased demos. Thumbs down for this.
User Comment
Submitted by Exile on 25 September 2005
This release after 3 years is the preview version 90% because of some serious issues with loading from anything else than a 1571. Soon the 100% version will be uploaded.
