:D

The guy was a total unknown, showed up out of the blue ... which in a way explains the ripping ... seen similar happen a few times.

It was 'Damage Inc' a Canadian scener. As a result of this, rioting occurred at the US/Canadian border and it has been closed ever since! ;)

I heard that's why Dokk moved to the States in search of blood.

Just a sidenote: I also think it is really lame to rip of an image and enter a compo with it, just to make that clear... On another side I must state that ripping is somewhat the scene were more about in the past and were actually one of the things that made the scene bigger and bolder and more... Think of this, in the past one could just rip a music a font and create some effect with that and one were a hero for the code, and even parts of the code were ripped... I kinda miss ripping a bit... he he... Apollion got busted hard on his mountains in the contex demos and I thinkj, well it does not matter that much as in the past it were great experiences with looking at his parts from contex... I think it is fun that today it is so hard on all details in a way... ha ha...

Ripping was always "bad form" ... commercial or not. Also, you'll notice the person making the entry was banned from any future competitions because of the ripping.

well... i like the joker pic , but the pic called "Tiamat" i personally think looked much better when it was part of Dokks "Black Lamp" pic of '88. I think that definitely gets classified as... GOT YA! :) very bad form that ripping off a commercial pic as a graphics entry

A second contest was scheduled but it fell through. The deadline for this one was extended a few times because of lazy people taking too long for their entries.

'Too Hot' heh, what ever turns you on I guess :D
13 pictures I hadn't seen before today. The white and green dragon was interesting.
