Now that the full game is out.. According to often repeated discussions here, a crack shouldn't credit the game's creator(s), right?

Yeah, i played "La Mulana" before starting this game. I'd say i was a bit influenced ;)

"La Mulana" is a grand game on its own, but has really hefty difficulty.

Umm... I just played "La Mulana". That's something to strive towards. :-)

@JackAsser: Ahh, that's what you're getting at. Actually i think will just include that. This might make for a nice timing related puzzle. I will however not change the restricted movement ;)

Free movement and jump is for a different game mayhaps.

@Endurion: Keep up the good work (and please add ACCELERATED gravity). ;)

Endurion: Perfect or not, I think your game looks fine, and considering it's your first project on the c64 it's actually pretty amazing. I found it to be very playable.

As for Jackassers comment, I'm not sure I understand what he's getting at. Normally gravity makes you fall when walking out a cliff... ;)

I'm the developer of Joe Gunn, and it's weird to see a preview with a cracktro.

Anyway, this is far from being a completed game and is not even the latest release. Much has already changed and even more is going to change.

Yes, this is not going to be a perfect game, sorry, but this is my first C64 assembly project (see the thread for the music request). Please provide me with criticism there so i can pick it up.

Anyway, this one will definetively be finished.

What exactly is the problem with good movement on the main characters in many c64 games? The coders does all sorts of neat things in the games, but they can't add simple gravity and some sort of nice motion... It always annoys me and completly destroys my overall impression of a game. Grrrrr!

...and Montezuma's Revenge +9D, and Pharaoh's Revenge +2, and perhaps even about The Golden Pyramids +2. This is a classic genre. May it never die!
